Every few games I get tkers who kill you for no reason then quit or a guy who will tk your entire team. Then there's the special cases where somebody gets butthurt when you don't agree with them for whatever reason asking for help but you're trapped so you say you can't in voice chat, text chat, etc then they chase you down and tk you. I just got the game a few days ago. Is it like this in ranked too? I don't see the point of tking, You just ruin the experience for others and prove you're a loser in life.
Is there any penalty for this? I think the game could do without it because it's starting to get really annoying. When 4 players gank one player then abusing and laugh at them until they bleed out is online bulling and there are cases where people have asked for compensation so if you abuse a player and they are recording it and bulling in your country has penalty's they could sue you so best not say anything and just play. It is not the Farm Zone. Go play farmville for that. If there wasnt PVP then it wouldn't say caution when you enter.

One game failed at seperating PvE from PvP in 10 that succeeded and you pick the one exception for your argument. Going full PvP with no PvE is the death of every game that caters multiplayer. There are too many examples of such failure on google to post in here, so go ahaed and do some research, because if you really love this game like I do , you will want it to survive, and the casuals are the major paiment, not the hardcore This is why I would rather have the 'cuddly' zone, than just telling those people off, because if they really all leave It is what it is You did see the choices and you made yours.
I am a casual and even I see how making a cuddle zone would kill this game But there would still be the problem, that in DZ 6 drops the best loot, so in order to get it you'd still have to go into the PVP Area Not having the chance at all, is what makes them leave. They made a ton, but to keep them working they still have to make some profit, and that's where I want the casuals to stay. Give them something, a little chance, even the slightest chance will keep some in here, and the more people with work and financial ability to support, the more this game will survive I don't actually care what it is, but I want something done for the casuals, because i don't want this game to die because of too little profit in the future.

Actually sorry I don't mean you litterally, as your suggestion of fixing the DZ with rogues having a hard time surviving and making them actually work for their gain is a good one But that is one single game. This is a simple idea that would keep everyone happy. Great idea! You're talking like the People in the DZ are the only ones who play the game Most of the People who are against PVP, are either doing Missions or quit the game and are waiting for it to get better.
Because if they did that it would be pvp players on even playing field vs each other and with the same exploits running so it is not going to be easy for them to get their rogue xp, since the pve people tend to not use the pvp exploits and such. It would be the quickest way to fix the broken DZ but that is exactly why it will never happen. No this is not problem solved, because it doesn't address the risk Vs reward that players deserve to get from being in the PvP zone. Or, they could add DZ levels that work as a player rating, where it puts players that PvP a lot in the same servers and players that PvP rarely in the same servers this would still have PvP just be more enjoyable for all.
There are a ton of options - just adding straight non-PvP requires several changes. Also for players who want PvP but think the DZ is currently broken my friends list this doesn't address anything at all. This comes full-circle because the PVP players screamed to the heavens until Massive lowered the Rouge penalties, but then did nothing to separate higher geared players farming and impeding lower geared players. This is where it has brought them.
A game on the verge of dying. You probably know this, but you are part of a NICHE demographic that likes PKing, right or wrong, and this historically is not enough of a player base to sustain a game because of its very nature. History has proven this via statistics. So, now, you have to live with those consequences. I'm not trying to be condescending, or snide. I would like a balanced PVP with factions and objectives e. Imagine Alterac Valley in the DZ.
The main point is there is an overall and changing objective various landmarks and territories in the DZ that keeps all players engaged and is a fair fight for everybody involved. I would love a dynamic, objective oriented PVP like this because not only does it reward both hardcore and casual players, but keeps within the lore established in the campaign as well.
Right - I also think someothing that is lacking despite all the changes i mentioned. I did all the missions over and over Hard is to easy, challenging is to hard, loot is never an upgrade, so dead end number 1. Finished all the items on the maps, 1 echo seems bugged never marks as done , did everything else, so dead end number 2.
Played some more in the DZ, as I'm only level 25, so there would be something left to do there. But I killed some mobs, helped some people, explored the harder area as well. But after getting shot in the back a few times again while battling waves of enemies, I just hit the PS button and called it quits. In it's current state, it's just not for me I'm a friendly coop player So dead end number 3.
The lack of developer response on these boards, combined with the idiotic notion that we the players are the problem, is dead end number 4: no future. Massive has some major work ahead of them, to turn this mess around. Maybe the initial glory feeling of the high sales number, will at some point turn into shame, at losing almost all of those players. And maybe then, they can get their act together, and make the game all it could be.
Until then, play what you want, just make sure you're having fun! I don't mind getting shot in the back, but when I have super high health and armor and I still died within 3 bullet shots, I get very mad. I want an opportunity to respond. Developers test this game amongst a team that doesn't even remotely account for the amount of cheap tactics that sh!
I definitely agree that this game pats them on the back too well. If my squad gets jumped from another squad, we should still have a chance of survival. The DZ provides none. If we knowingly approach rogues, our squads should have a chance of survival. If we unknowingly approach rogues, our squads should still have a chance of survival. I'm sick of this betrayal BS. They pretend we have an option to be nice. When we really don't. When a squad meets another squad, there needs to be an incentive to work together equally valuable as assaulting them and let the players make that choice.
And for those that assault, there needs to be more dire consequences. There needs to be some form of serious decision making. But these high-DPS guys don't care, because as far as where the game is at now, they always win. They need a serious cap. Dear Development Team, I agree, 80k players on March and drop down to 10k players on May, this do change dramatically in just 2 months :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: :eek: If Massive don't listen the players complained and keep doing the stat of the game weekly with the little progression, people will jump into Blizzard, EA in no time.
Not openning gates at missions will be solved in patch 1. As for DZ The whole idea of DZ is high risk loot and rogue agents. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending anyone, I'm not the kind of person to shoot others for no reason and I dispise griefers, however, PvP in DZ is the only "high-end" content right now and PVE only DZ would be the end of this game since there's nothing else.
The solution to your problem might be not so far away. Devs announced that they increase the quality and quantity of loot in patch 1. Either through the mobs themselves or keys for crates, you have to fight mobs. The risk when fighting the mobs is the mobs themselves, not other players. The rewards from these mobs is on par with the PVE map mobs.
People who want the risk of dieing to other players combined with the reward of getting a full load of loot from another player should be able to turn a flag on and indicate they are PVP. Both groups will have competition in trying to get to the mobs, but the people who like PVP can indulge while those who prefer PVE can have fun. Which ultimately isn't fun for the PVP types since they don't get any real competition, and it's also not fun for the PVE players because they don't enjoy that type of game play.
Right, but the risk is so much higher than the reward which is why so few people actually go to the DZ. That's not a healthy or balanced playing area. I feel the same way about the rogues, but to me more it's a long list of mechanics and balancing that need fixing.
In reply to OP question re early days of DZ. It was fun! Random groups of players teaming up in what was effectively PvE encounters. As a solo player it was great. Now if you try run the DZ solo you get continuously ganked by groups of 4 cowards or just plain back shot. The fun is gone. Either Ubi bring in some kind of DZ PvE only gameplay or they are gonna end up with a lot of players not bothering with the DZ and maybe even the game itself.
I'm very near to being done with this game TBH. Yes - i totally agree. On Friday the Day-Banwave has been ended - and what happend?? It is not funny to play in DZ currently - i'll avoid the DZ until patch 1. This game is CooP based with accents of a multiplayers Pseud-Multiplayer.
If i wanna play a multiplayer game i'll play Battlefield. My thoughts on the dz, if going solo then you get an option before entering 1 being solo only players in the dz. Then a party of 3 would be 3 and up etc Now mabey disable chat in the dz so people cannot team up with randoms. Another thing not sure if it would work since iv only been playing for a week so this is kinda new to me, but your rank would mean nothing against other players just enemy.
The difference against other players would come from the perks you have unlocked and the rolls on your guns and gear. I feel the same way as you, MFHSchoonbrood. I am one of the oldschool players. And I like to follow the Code of Honer. Behave, be polite and don't do anything you wouldn't like other to do to you.
Be fair. I have spend the last two weeks farming Phoenix Credits by replaying the same main mission maps all over again in Hard mode. I needed better gear to be able to play in Challenge mode. But I am so extremely bored now that I give up. I am leaving the game. And I don't think I will return. Most likely not. There is no further progress for me.
I won't go into the Dark Zone and play for real. Not solo or in a team. I hate this toxic place with all the rogues with their end game gear and the cheaters humiliating new players. This is NOT a fun way to spend my time. I only did it a couple of times out of curiosity and to fulfill my Weekly Missions. The Dark Zone reminds me so much of the ugly and nasty way things are headed today in the world: Dog eat dog in the business world. Nobody cares about anyone lese but him self. I am absolutely stuck in the game.
I can't buy any better gear enabling me to play either incursions of Challenge mode. Every time I choose Challenge mode I get wasted in the very first encounter. I last about 30 seconds or at best 2 minutes. My gear score is So, Challenge mode is not an option either. Not before I get better gear which gives me better protection. I do at least want a chance. I mean, this is what's it's all about right? An honest chance and having a good time? I don't stand a chance in the Falcon Lost incursion.
I tried a couple of times with a team and ended up being alone in the end. I usually don't give up but continue until my eyes gets too heavy and I can't think straight - time to go to bed that is. I even did Falcon Lost twice solo. The first time I made it all through the 4th wave. Then I died and gave up.
After approx. The second time I ended up in a team with a bit better gear score than mine. But they also left during the second wave. Alone again. I made it through the 4th wave again but died when I wanted to turn off the turrets. I didn't know what to do, so I died. Now, this is probably the last post from me.
It was fun to play the first part of the game, the Main Mission and story. It was also pretty fun to advance to level 30 and obtain elite gear. The graphics, audio and UI are fantastic when it doesn't crash that is. I has to be possible to obtain gear without having to backstab or be backstabbed.
It has to be without cheaters and high gear score players humiliating you all the time. The Dark Zone should be a place where also new players can get better gear and level up. And IF they feel like it they can join the anarchy in the PvE option. The funny thing is that I played 11 years in the UTA league.
I played Assault in several clans, almost until the league was completely dead. But UT Assault was fun. It wasn't a game where the main goal was to limit the player into boredom and let him be humiliated in a 'Dark Zone'. It was pure team play.
Clan vs. This is what I like and not a game arranged so tight you can spend a year playing it before you get to the highest level. I want to use my time on other things as well, and preferably things that feel fair and balanced. It's such a shame. This game is so beautiful made. I was in New York a couple of years back, and Ubisoft has managed to catch and recreate this very special atmosphere you sense in this city.
I'm going back to play Fallout 4 and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for now. Maybe replay Mass Effect. See you all, and thanks to those nice guys who was kind and helpful to me. I hope you will enjoy the game after all. My only guess is that any opposition to this idea is from those who regularly go rogue and farm weaker and under geared players. With a choice those who want to kill and gank each other are free to do so.
Those who don't get to play the PvE game they where led to believe they where told they could experience in the DZ. Now those who like things the way they are don't think the PvE players should have the same rewards they now get why? They still have to face powerful NPC's. And the Rogues will still have the rewards they now get by ganking, back shooting and betrayal.
Seems to work for both styles of play if you ask me. Unfortunately since the Halo games on Xbox with the in-game mic usage and such, it seems to be standard to be abusive with the foul language and such, and twitch streamers seem to get more watching their streams the more profanity they use and the harsher their language is, i do not get the point of it watched a few of those guys who really trash talk way to much that language is just outright bully behavior.
We had a somewhat healthy banter in CS 1. The Dark zone seems to be the same way if we Scandinavians stay online for too long at night we start to run into Americans playing, and wow that language a lot of them use that i have run into, that language they use is just sad they speak to other people that way, i do not care if it is in a video game or in reality that is just wrong on so many levels to speak to another person in that way even the C word and Aids being thrown at people in the insults.
Russians also complain a lot but at least we the group i play with do not understand a word of what they are saying at least not the guys i usually play with have played with a few Polish guys and they got a good laugh out of the comments, some of the profanity i understand but most of it no clue so just ignore it. I just want PvE maps to have the same as the DZ without the PvP, ofcourse that will kill the majority of the PvPers gank tools but then that's the point, we customers were told the game would be for all types of players, solo coop and pvp, well after 30 that is no longer true after all the nerfs..
Just open up the PvE map with actual content after 30 and end the DZ fiasco once and for all. If you want a stable gamer population fix the PvE. Minimum GS Drop : I think lot of player not dislike the DZ concept, But DZ has 2 big problem or more 1. Cheater - No need to explain, Even if a lot of cheater get banned but it still remain in DZ.
PvP elements is irrational - Well, Where is the point that irrational? Ok, they are rouge now and we try to take revenge, they are not only 4 but 5 or more! The team that " Open Fire " on " The Back " of another team will take advantageous and win the fight easier, because the team that get shot may lost 1 or 2 man suddenly. Totally agreed! Today I have just been joined with a group in DZ after matchmaking, they pull me out to the DZ5 then kick me out of the group and kill me.
Making a PVE DZ makes to much sense they can not be allowed to have what they want, because if it dose not fall flat on its face and loose almost all its player base in the first 6 months than it can't really be an Ubisoft game. On the other hand I've had plenty of players heal me or revive me which may not balance things out but hey ho There is so much support for a PvE only dark zone I can't see how Ubisoft won't offer it. Not instead of the PvPvE that currently exists, but as an alternative.
And for those that think it will kill the PvP side of the game, a simple solution would be to increase the rewards gained by going rogue and killing rogues. Give players a reason to go into the PvP area and fight it out.
Hijacking extractions is silly theres enough pk in the dz as is. If you keep it it better be seen as an automatic rogue action and take the player just as long to cut the rope as it took us to put the item on it to begin with. Another thing how will this affect an extraction that has one slot open still on it and a random comes up to extract will there be separate prompts to either extract or to cut the rope?
Couldn't agree more, I have taken to the forums to see if Dev's are taking anything into account. In the last three days I was only able to gain two levels due to the cheating in the DZ and the Extraction campers. This game really is as bad as the bad PR has said. Perhaps if Massive and Ubi checked their egos at the door, things might actually improve versus refusing to admit they are wrong.

It's called "The rest of the game". So tired of hearing that nonsense. So, you are saying there are roaming named characters that we can shoot to get HE loot, DZ credits or XP that actually counts towards something like our DZ level since that is where the best blueprints are?
Do they respawn in a relatively quick manner? The answer to that is no. It has lower level NPC's that drop garbage. There is no Division Tech so we aren't getting materials to craft any of the real blueprints, you know, the ones you can only get in the DZ if you reach level Don't go saying it is coming with 1.
After spending time in the Dark Zone currently 85 and I have been there since the Beta all it does is promote cyber bullying. The idea of the Dark Zone is there, however the execution is poorly handled. When this update releases, if the behavior doesn't change for the better, or at least add some sort of plan B for those who chose not to enter, I will quit the game myself. I know there's talk of some sort of boss npcs to fight outside the Dark Zone, that still isn't enough to really put confidence back into the player base.
I see it more as a band aid than actually correcting the problem. The problem is promoting cyber bullying; first the cheaters which still exist , then adding new "situations to enhance the suspense of extracting rope cutting ," then adding MORE reasons for people to pick on each other. Ubisoft would respond with, "YES.
More people are actually playing the way we want them to! One disabling aspect of DZ is for 'single' players, going solo.. In challenge level daily, shots from 32 level is instant kill, headshots to them with K plus does basically bugger all, ergo, it cannot be done at this level.
So slow and steady taking only 'hard' challenges, I would estimate a further 10 weeks minimum of play to just afford decent specs to attempt level 32 of any types. In farming attempts in DZ, it is even slower, as certain CLINT type bottom feeders are playing the sneaky in the back headshots, to a level it is almost a net loss for every sojourn into the place. Losing hours of hard earned DZC and pretty much no chance of defending against or killing these arrs wipe thugs.
Perhaps one or two mistakes to kill spots is OK to let go as is done now, but any groups or over powered single player, purposeful attacks done on a regular basis, to solo players is worthy of being tagged for the day, ie, you want to play tough, then do it as a marked enemy, and shown on maps for a much further distance.
I would also take it further to list all known repeat rogues on a bulletin, similar to wanted posters?? And before all you team only players get on the high horse and sanctimoniously offer the option to do as you do, remember it was, and is, also a solo game. That is at leat partly true, but the thing is the risk should also be present for the rogues and here the game struggles.
Beeing rogue is more high reward little to no risk thanks to an imbalanced game mechanic. Even being a rogue hunter is not really that rewarding but high risk as it is easy to get rogue by accident. YYou would be surprised how often rogue hunters go after each other just because the turned rogue by accident. Also only the one finishing the job gets proper rewards thats why rogue hunting does not take place very often at least not when I am online.
If thats what the devs wanted so be it and by now I believe they do. But then stop complaining about empty servers as the ones getting ganked leave at some point. They won't have a PvE only DZ, ever, that's just a fact.
It's much more realistic to make everything available in and out of the DZ, so if you don't want to enter the DZ you wouldn't have to, the problem is that there are DZ exclusives like div tech and blueprints, if there weren't any exclusives I wouldn't bother with the DZ at all They are kind of taking a step in the right direction by reinvigorating the PvE zone with the 1.
Agents are starting to rogue according to the story line They want people to go rogue so the story line can progress, They recognized that it was unbalanced and added brackets according to gear score and it has greatly helped because there was a huge problem with over geared people just taking on 6 people in the DZ and not even coming close to dying, granted there is still a small problem with it from people cheesing the challenging incursion..
Don't ruin the game for people who actually play because you can't git gud. The current state of the DZ has nothing to do with 'gitting gud'. There is no skill involved with OP Agents taking down lesser geared players even in the the extra brackets they're adding.
It's more about people being able to choose what kind of DZ they want to play for themselves, not disabling PvP altogether. You can still play PvP, keep it enabled and 'continue the storyline'' as you put it. For others, maybe they want to disable it, only play PvE without the danger of OP Agents coming along and killing them for no reason at all other than that's how they enjoy playing the game.
Both ways are fine, so why not have both? It's never wrong to have a choice to play one way or another, but only having one way, especially in the state the DZ is in right now, is stealing the fun from so many players; and many of them aren't even going in the DZ anymore. PKers don't understand this.
You can try and explain it to them until you are blue in the face or your fingers fall of from typing the same thing over and over , but they just do not care. This, or they are very young and are not at the level where they consider others outside their own needs and wants Which is what I think the core of the problem really is even if nobody wants to admit it?
The point of the DZ is to PvP. The brackets still aren't balanced completely, especially with people who cheesed the incursion and got their gear cheating. I also usually just run around the DZ alone, and don't pick up gear because almost everything that drops there is worse then the items I got doing PvE outside the DZ.
If you want to PvE do incursions and grind missions to get phoenix credits, no matter which way you play you are grinding for gear. Any gear I have gotten from the DZ has been replaced by gear I got from doing the incursion or crafting items from the vendor in the post office. I usually avoid killing people because I like to be nice and it sucked when people would kill me, but now its becoming a ruthless battle to protect your gear when extracting items, so now the best option is to just kill someone when they come up to where you are extracting.
Kill them or run away if you want to level up in the DZ. The only two things that sucks in the DZ is finding out what their gear is like when you first run into someone. And the actual level grind, which believe it or not, goes faster when you either go rogue and survive, which is possible if you play it right , or kill rogues So thank god they are adding more missions in the PvE area for all the people who want to PvE so all the babies who cry about not getting anywhere in the DZ will quit ruining it for people who actually enjoy it.
The whole game is a grind, get over it. And ubisoft change it to lure peoples who ruins games like H1Z1, rust or DayZ. It's both. Some players like it the way it is, judging by the numbers there aren't that many who do. So what we're trying to do is figure out a way to get more players to actually play the game because right now, it's headed in the opposite direction. Just saying "it's a PvP zone, get over it" isn't going to bring players back or retain those tired of the shenanigans that take place in the DZ.
The game needs to change to bring back players who left and hold those already playing. Hopefully the PvE activities do that to a certain extent, but the big draw is still going to be the DZ which is slowly dying because of the myriad of reasons already posted in this thread. Except you would be playing with people who actually want to PvP. So where's the downside? I think it would bring players back, give people a chance to play the game they want to play and achieve their ultimate objective, to have fun.
Yeah it would effect everyone, i. This is a common thing that currently happens, people wait for a group to start taking out the enemies and try to sneak in and basically steal the supply drop from the group killing the enemies around them, since the enemies target who gets there first.
This would only ensure peoples ability to do this. It basically gives people a way to grief supply drops so yeah, this does effect me Especially since they are adding the cutting ropes for extractions, supply drops are going to be very important because they can't be stolen once obtained.
I've invested some time into this game and don't want it to be ruined because someone wasn't smart enough to survive in the DZ. Creating another way for people to grief, isn't going to help in anyway. If you don't want to fight more intelligent enemies for loot, go to a PvE area and do missions for your gear, its how I got my gear so I can survive in the DZ now.
I love that they added more reason to go rogue. I love that they decreased the punishment for going rogue, I love the challenge of figuring out if people are going to shoot or not, it makes for more difficult enemies to fight compared to pre-programmed algorithms. It makes it a more difficult place to be compared to the missions, that isn't the same thing over and over, because people don't act the same every time.
You think the game needs to change to bring players back I think the game needs to listen to people who actually play the game first and invested their time so they don't lose their loyal customers they already have.
Then maybe all the people who don't play can see there is actually a way to play instead of crying about it. Granted, they did listen to all the people who thought the DZ was too difficult, and gave them more PvE content outside the DZ, where it should be.
Once you have your gear, which once again you can get just as easily doing missions in the PvE area you go to the DZ and fight people. This is the end game so far, don't ruin it for the people who made it there because people were sad they couldn't get there sooner. I totally agree. You do the work to kill the AI and some jerk comes along and steals it. Make a switch to turn it off. Not only that but I do not want to play a game to "make friends" I want to play it and be able to win by myself or my spouse but the game is pretty unplayable after level 30 because there are no saves in Falcon and the AI are geared to 4 people, not fair for those of us that like to play a game by ourselves.
Ubisoft has lost not 1 but 2 customers in this house and I'm sure many others feel the same way. I think you may have misunderstood what I meant. People who are in PvP servers would not be in the same servers as people who PvE. They would be separated. Therefore no one with that toggle off would be able to steal any of the drops or your extractions. Sorry for the confusion. You said you love the PvP in the DZ, and that's perfectly fine; all I'm saying is, judging by the numbers, most players don't share that feeling.
Especially looking at the forums, most players think that the DZ is broken and on the verge of quitting the game. If the game doesn't change to bring players back, the game will die, point blank period. There are too many players that have already left because they don't enjoy playing in the DZ and they're about to lose more.
All the people who have quit the division will not come back if the game stays the same, and I'll tell you why. They don't enjoy playing the same way you do. You enjoy PvP, you enjoy the way the DZ is right now, but you are not the majority judging by how many have left and the responses on the forums.
They're not sad they "couldn't get here sooner", they're sick of OP Agents running around the DZ killing because they like to. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with playing that way, but at least give players the chance not to have to deal with that. A lot of players haven't had the time to put into the game as the people who do this and they just don't find it fun when the 2 hours they have a week to play is erased by someone who has over hours and is killing just because.
All the PvPers can have their fun and all the PvEers can do the same, everyone is happy. If they made the DZ with an option to PvE, even on a separate server I feel like it would be a huge slap to the face to everyone who has leveled in the DZ, since I put in all this time and effort to play in the DZ with the one goal of leveling up. All the time and effort I put in and lost from dying is worthless because I could of just waited and PvE'd my way up instead.
Not having PvP is not having a story, it's essentially against the game to disable the PvP in the dark zone. If they created a 19 second damage buffer for the victims pretend the division tech can prevent damage from other agents for 19 seconds instead of just letting people die without a chance to rebuttal and creates a warning for the victim so they know someone is trying to jump them, possibly even give them a small speed boost so they could run away if they don't want to PvP.
Then after the damage buffer, they could get their 19 second timer, and if you kill someone with their 19 second timer, they could actually make it rewarding to kill someone who tried to go rogue. I would love to be able to run around the open world and run into agents and not worry about if they are going to kill me when I want to play relaxed, however you only run into agents inside the DZ.
Then there would always be something for people to complete with other people in the open world. With the HVT being added, it would be awesome to have other agents around to help even if they aren't needed. So the players would have more control over the environment you play in, with an open world option similar to the open world in destiny even?
You still basically have the option to disable or enable PvP based on where you are playing inside or outside the DZ would basically be how you control the PvP , the DZ isn't ruined for those who love it, and people can still have their open world PvE without PvP then everyone is happy? Personally, I've found all the best gear comes from the DZ as advertised before the game came out. I just haven't found playing in the DZ to be fun or rewarding. Understand that, while you may have found most of your good gear outside of the DZ, that's not the case for most players.
Which is why there has been such a negative response to some of the changes. I'm all for expanding the PvE experience, and what you proposed sounds fine in theory. If I could get the best gear in the game outside of the DZ, trust me, I would never step foot in it again. I've skimmed most of the replies in this thread and i have to say that a lot of people seem to be getting mixed up with the DZ being a PVP only zone which it is not, that's why you have the choice of going rogue however i heartily agree that it should BE a choice, right now its more of a case that unless you want to pick on guys you should stay out.
Going rogue is fine however 4 or more players picking on one or two guys does not make for a fun experience and to say "well you should be in a group then, the DZ is not meant for solo players" is just short sighted, the current in game content and even what's coming in the next update is all geared into forcing players to PVP if they want to upgrade, this i don't agree with.
Adding in an option to "Flag" for PVP or have separate instances for PVP enabled would be a huge improvement, i am one of those players who hates to be told i have no choice but to go here and do that which is why open world games appeal to me so much. The quickest way to get me, and I'm sure plenty of other players, to leave a game is to be told i have to do something i don't want to do in order to progress, I hope ubisoft listen to this idea and give it some serious thought and i'll stay with the game much longer.
LOL nice zone!!! That way people would have to clear the mobs to get the loot. Or only unlock the chest after all mobs have been cleared. Or have one of the mobs carry the key to the chest. Tons of options to prevent the current gank implementation. But again, we're thinking about stuff to make the game better And I still haven't seen any sign of the developers showing interest in our feedback, nor in making the whole game PVE friendly, which can easily be done without hurting the current bully zone.
It really seems to me that they got their initial sales, people even bought the season pass because of the great first impressions, but then moved on when they reached the horrible endgame. And now they do they obligatory updates, cause they have to See incursion nr1. Losing almost your players is pretty disheartening But what they did after that happened is the really sad part. Like me, some time i just want to enter DZ and play with my friend, find some good item but always have some players want to shoot at us for fun, maybe they hack, maybe not but it made me angry. I and my friends haven't played since shortly after 1. The amount of cheating we discovered going on pretty much ruined this game for us.
We tell everyone we can to stay away from the game in its current state. This was not something we wanted to have anything to do with. Who wants to play a game with cheaters and griefers? Even if ubi give them a PVP mode, they will be unsatisfied. These peoples are the same who shoot on sight in DayZ or H1Z1. They only want to fill their empty life. Instead of doing something, they prefer to destroy other peoples achievements. The only thing they want is a revenge on society and in current state of the division, they find what they want. And they don't care other players opinion. Which is why these modes shouldn't be implemented in a game that focusses so heavily on co op.
I can't understand the people who don't like the idea of creating a PVE DZ, unless they're the same people who camp extraction zones to gank players trying to gear up. Take the less geared players out of PVP, and there's no one left to rape except each other Dev need to listen to this idea, it has real merit for the longevity of the game. I Also Completely agree.

Personally i think a pvp disabled would be great,i'm way underpowered compared to most rogues i meet and am destroyed in no time,thats not their problem but it is mine as it makes me stay away from the DZ and so have a little less interest in the game,however a DZ free of pvp would be perfect for me as i could run solo or team up,as it stands now i see anybody heading my way in the DZ and i usually leg it unless i'm cut down before i can move..
Having the choice of a pvp or pve Dz would surely suit everyone Man i havent been in the DZ for quite a while and i dont miss the pvp crap. I hate forced PVP. THere arent enough High Value Targets and half the time my daily targets are bugged and marked as completed. If there was a way to redo those over and over This game would go along way towards being fixed. Give us more coop options Lexington gets old after a while. Losing intereste in the game because as a PVE only there quite frankly just isnt enough to do.
PVE DZ would help or expand upon the dailies and add encounters everywhere so i can have a chance at decent loot. We agree! There really isnt enough to do in single co-op rooms, the Dz WAS fun and challenging when regular room activities were completed, but now its only frustrating to go in. I hear it's someones baby and there vision may not be able to be compromised.
Feels like we are getting flagshipped. I usually find 2 lobby switches will suffice. Extract somewhere safe and run if people show up. Being careful isn't difficult. Work around broken game mechanics, yay. I refuse to go into the Darkzone solo in the current state, and I refuse to use the public match making system.
At the higher bracket, I see to many people being picked off while engaging packs, people being kicked from groups and killed by their "team mates", and various other tactics that turn me off to the Darkzone. The best gear drops from here, the weekly HvTs are a good start to fix the issue, but as someone who has zero interest in PvP, maybe we can divide the Darkzone into two sections, a PvP and a PvE half?

I do loosely agree on the other topics from the OP, but I think this one is the one that needs to be at least recognized. Well as far as I'm concerned the dz is working fine. I find some people annoying to play with, and its my choice to try and find less annoying people. Making a lobby where people have half the risk and the same rewards is pretty ridiculous in my opinion.
Needing to be careful isn't a broken game mechanic. Building a list of people to join me in a lawsuit with Ubisoft to get our money back. They have no clue what they are doing in this game, the numbers mean crap, and now you can't even play solo. Game stop won't even give you close to what you paid for the game because they have piles and piles of returned divisions already.

As for people shooting someone else in the back, its the same as when you get snuck up on. Its called tactics. Easiest way to kill a player is when they are unaware, outnumbered, or preoccupied. This game is a game, not sure why its taken serious. There is so much loot dropping that if you lose items by dying, its fine because you'll find more in 2 minutes. That person that killed me is to lazy to kill NPCs for 2 minutes to find loot.
If you still don't want to die then don't go to the DZ. There is absolutely no reason to enter the DZ unless you want to. The same gear is in PVE. Online bullying? If a random person whom you don't know insults you online and it matters Why would their opinion matter?
I don't understand it. You don't know them and even if you did know that person then my question arises again If there is a problem with people throwing out insults then don't be in game chat or use xbox chat or some other chat. Play music if your solo. The blame goes to massive but the way people act is not their fault. You have game chat as an option. I'm not defending massive in any way but I try to look at thing logically and rationally without emotion.
Nobody cares about DZ level anymore. Nobody cares about you gaining levels or anyone in general. There are people that only go to the DZ to just hunt players. Doesn't mean they are bad people but maybe its their fun. What else would happen if your max level in everything? Just stop playing? If anything, massive should increase both levels. If there was no DZ level, no DZ specific credits and the loot drops were simply more often in the DZ then the PVE game but same quality , would it make for less complaints from both groups?
One way would simply be faster and death wouldn't be so punishing. You would still lose the loot you were carrying but that is all. I'd spend more time then I do now in the DZ if it was set up that way. This is the dumbest comment I've ever read in my life. Also I never been kicked from a group just because my level was lower then gear score and now that I'm at a gear score of I've never kicked someone from my group just because there gear score was lower then my own.
I even played challenge mode with people that where only at gear score 80 to and completed the challenge mode with them. So stop crying and find some friends to play with and get over it. DZ rank and DZ funds only matter when it comes to buying items and blueprints from a vendor but everything found can be used at any DZ rank. I for 1 do not want a safe zone aka non PvP I just believe they need to fix GS groups better and ban these groups of 8 to 10 rogues that wait at check points or extraction zone.

Elijah Ballard was in sixth grade in St. Louis when he used his father's Visa card to open a Steam account and download the game in But now players could buy new decorative covers for them, known as skins.
The idea wasn't original; Valve had similar items in an earlier game, Team Fortress 2. But the way these skins were won was new and exciting. Thousands of skin variations now exist. During the course of play, gamers can get access to locked cases with as many as two dozen skins inside. It's easy to come away with a common one that might be valued at a few cents, but some are so rare they can fetch thousands of dollars.
Using his father's credit card, Elijah started buying keys in the hopes of getting a skin for his Tec-9 gun called the Nuclear Threat. Valve doesn't technically sell its skins for cash. Instead, every dollar deposited to a player's account gets converted to Steam credits, which can then be traded on the site for skins, other games or ancillary products.
Once dollars become credits, the company does not convert them back. That trade-off was fine for most. But it became frustrating for players who wanted to cash out their gains for real money. Here, some saw opportunity: Valve operates Steam on what is called an "application programming interface," a bridge that lets third-party developers engage with a platform.
Facebook's API, for instance, allows outside companies to design the myriad apps that link into the service. It's referred to as an "open API," meaning that the programming code is publicly available and accessible. There, they could be cashed out for real money. OPSkins, for instance, is an eBay-like peer-to-peer platform where users can freely buy and sell to one another. With the open door in place, the skins market outside of Steam is free to set whatever prices it wants.

The skin trade meant a river of new revenue for Valve, which profited from game sales and the fees it collected, not to mention new visitors to Steam. But it also created opportunities for entrepreneurs who were imagining other uses for skins -- namely, betting. Since he already had a Steam account tied to his father's credit card, it was simple enough for Elijah to open a CSGO Lounge account and transfer his skins into it.
If he lost his bets, he could buy more skins on Steam and move them back to the gambling site. And since Elijah kept his wagers small -- five bucks of skins here, 10 bucks there -- his father, Grady, shrugged when he started seeing a few minor charges from a company called Steam on his Visa bill. Figuring he should catch up, he created a program to track the number of skins being bet on tournaments and tabulated their values over a few days.
What he got back perplexed him. Grove tracked the site for an entire week. It showed the same thing. What Grove hadn't yet grasped, though he soon would, was how much of that money had already moved past sites like CSGO Lounge, where gamblers were betting skins on the outcome of Counter-Strike matches and tournaments, to websites that offered far more addictive games. In the prior year, Elijah had made the jump to the new casino-style websites.

Elijah promptly created a PayPal account, linked it to the checking account and made it his new method of payment on Steam. Brenda, who runs an animal rescue charity from her home office, rushed to the bank to cover the shortfall.
